INDIRECT FX, Ranked

An FX with this feat can originate from a point other than the user, ignoring cover between the user and the target, such as walls and other intervening barriers, so long as they do not provide cover between the FX’s origin point and the target. The range modifier is based on the distance from the attacker to the target, regardless of where the FX originates. An Indirect FX normally originates from a fixed point directed away from you. In some cases, an Indirect FX may count as a surprise attack.

If you apply this feat a second time, the power’s FX can come from any point directed away from you, including behind you. If you apply it three times, the effect can also be directed toward you (hitting a target in front of you from behind, for example).
